Bert Junior Allard, 76, was born in Shattuck, Oklahoma on September 5, 1937 to Bert and Geraldine Allard. He died on November 9, 2013 at the Baptist St. Anthony Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. After graduation from Arnett high School, he move to Texhoma, Oklahoma in 1958.

Bert and Joyce (Fry) were united in marriage on May 17, 1965 in Clayton, New Mexico. Bert Junior was a farmer/rancher and a longtime dealer with Chevrolet and John Deere.

Bert was very active in the community and extended a helping hand to those in need. he held various positions on local and state boards, including OSU Ag Committee; he took great pride in helping with the Texhoma Meals on Wheels, and he was an active member with the Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo Committee.

Bert was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Geraldine Allard and an infant brother.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce of the home; one sister, Yvonne Whiteaker of Dalhart, Texas and eight children: Dallas (Dave) Harris of Avondale, Arizona, Tam (Art) Hansen of Lorena, Texas, Billie Dawn (Ralph) Hyde of Texhoma, Oklahoma, Kevin Allard of Guymon, Oklahoma, Kenny (Cheri) Allard of Texhoma, Oklahoma, Starla (Bruce) Word of Arnett, Oklahoma, Cheri (James) Cummings of Shattuck, Oklahoma and Ward Allard of Texhoma, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, November 13th at 2:00 p.m. at the Texhoma First Christian Church with Rev. Larry Watson officiating. Services are under the care of the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
