Wayne Andrew Deatherage, 47, of Guymon, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, May 21, 2026 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

The son of Dennis Wayne and Joyce Elizabeth (Childers) Deatherage, he was born June 25, 1978 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.  Wayne attended school in Kingston, Oklahoma, and VO-Tech training in Ardmore.

He was united in marriage to Norma Bosquez on February 14, 1998 in Guymon.  Wayne was a parts man with NAPA in Guymon for three years.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Deatherage, two sisters, Joyce Ann Lafferty and Melissa Hazlett, and father-in-law, Julian Bosquez.

Survivors include his mother, Joyce Whaley of Guymon, his wife, Norma of the home, four children: Aaron Deatherage and wife, Maleah of Hooker, Matthew Deatherage of Guymon, and twins, Juliana and Michael Deatherage of Guymon.  Survivors also include two grandchildren, David and Kimera Deatherage, mother-in-law, Ramona Bosquez, and two brother-in-laws, Cecil and Mario Bosquez.

Visitation will be Thursday evening, May 28th between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, May 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Peck officiating.  Interment will follow in the Hooker Cemetery, Hooker, Oklahoma.

The family request memorials be given to Hooker FFA, Scout Troop 163 or Girl Troop 4163.  Memorials will be accepted at Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
