Velda "Dorene" (Boles) Robertson, 77, passed away Tuesday morning, June 10, 2025 at her home in Lubbock, Texas.

The daughter of Leo Howard and Delma Cleota (Jackson) Boles, she was born September 22, 1947 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  The Boles family moved to Johnson, Kansas from Amarillo, TX in 1959.

Dorene and Carlton Robertson met in Johnson in 1964 and were united in marriage, raising four children.  She was a devoted homemaker and member of the Bible Baptist Church.  They had moved to Lubbock from Hardesty in 2022.  Carl preceded her in death on February 14, 2023.

In addition to her husband of 57 years, she was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Delma Boles, one sister, Sandra Boles and great grandson, Gyntry Graham.

She is survived by her four children:  Karen Goins and husband, Kenny of Raton, NM, Carl Robertson and wife, Becky of Tyrone, OK, Bryan Robertson and wife, Merida of Lubbock, TX and Terry Robertson and partner, Paula of Amarillo, TX; two brothers: Lloyd Boles and wife, Connie of Guymon, OK and Carey Boles and wife, Becky of Lubbock, TX; nine grandchildren:  Nathan Berry and wife, Lorraine, Crystal Grice and husband, Matt, Amber Gonzales and husband, Carlos, Samantha Nelson and husband, Nick, Matthew Robertson, Chylo Tyree, Kendal Hopkins and wife, Cassidy, Joshua Tyree and Justin Tyree; along with 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 16th at 10:00 a.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel.  Burial will follow at the Johnson Cemetery in Johnson, Kansas.  Friends can sign the online guestbook and leave condolences at www.bunchroberts.com.
