Tom Reed, 59, lifelong Guymon resident passed away Sunday evening, April 11, 2021 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

The son of Richard Franklin Reed, Jr. and Patricia L. "Patsy" (Fergeson) Reed, Thomas Richard Reed was born August 2, 1961 in Guymon.  Tom attended the Guymon school system, graduating with the GHS Class of 1980.

Tom had worked for United, the City of Guymon and Hatfield Construction, until his struggles with RA forced his retirement.  Tom was well read in many subjects, including the Bible and enjoyed hunting for arrowheads.  He was a martial arts and karate fanatic, with a varied collection of swords.  Tom also had a great love for animals and his family and friends - he was very loyal and could always be counted on.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Richard Reed and his brother, Dennis Reed.

Survivors include his loving mother, Patsy Reed; one sister, Peggy Spirlock and husband, Terry and one brother, Dr. Paul Reed and wife, Silvia all of Guymon.  Tom is also survived by his beloved dog, Ruthie; nieces: Nikki Stacey, Sherry Williams and Kelli Blad and nephew, Joe Reed; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 14 ^th at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon, April 15 ^th at 2:00 p.m. with family friend, Bill Landess officiating.
