Obituary

Tilda Fern Stanhope, 75, of Texhoma passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at her son and daughter-in-laws home in Texhoma.

The daughter of Lee Arick and Athalie Haley (Smith) Long, she was born September 2, 1940 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Tilda attended the Yarbrough school system. She and Vernon Harvey Oxley were married for several years. She had worked for the Dunaway Manor in Guymon for 15 years as a CNA, retiring in 2010.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Lee "Hoppy" Long Jr., an infant sister, Margaret Ellen Long and grandson, Dakota Lee Oxley.

Survivors include her four children: Randy Oxley and wife, Donna of Texhoma, Texas, Cheryl Rhoden and husband, Dean of Texhoma, Oklahoma, Christy Stallings and husband, David of Goodwell, Oklahoma, and Roberta Addison of Dodge Coty,
Kansas; seven grandchildren: Brittany, Nicole, Corey, Billy, Joseph, Ross and Matthew; two great granddaughters, Isabella Ann and Althea Deanielle Rose; two brothers: Henry Long of Carthage, Missouri and Joe Long and wife, Patricia of Dothan, Alabama and two sisters: Shirley Reever and husband, Vernon of Hobbs, New Mexico and Terry Mann and husband, Mike of Wichita, Kansas.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon, July 25th at 2:00 p.m. at the Texhoma Cemetery with Chaplain Rusty Hancock of the Coon Memorial Hospice officiating. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

Friends can call at the funeral home for viewing on Sunday, July 24th from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.
