Sue Guthrie, 78, of Guymon, passed away Monday evening, August 31, 2020 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

The daughter of Jack and Naomi (Underwood) Adamson, she was born November 29, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sue attended school in Spearman, Texas, graduating with the Class of 1959.

She was united in marriage to Jerry Guthrie on February 17, 1960 in Amarillo, Texas.

Sue was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a bookkeeper and secretary in the family business, Guymon Glass, and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Pauline Cooper and two brothers, Jimmie Lee Ellis and Floyd Ellis.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Guthrie of the home; two sons, Jerry Dean Guthrie of Guymon, John Clark Guthrie, and wife, Judith of Wentzville, Missouri, and daughter, Rebecca Ann Erman and husband, Mark of Wylie, Texas. Survivors also include one sister, Judy Lynn Adamson, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, September 5th at 1:00 p.m. at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Wescoatt and Pastor Tyler Arends officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
