Steven (Duke) LeRoy Hill, 78, lifelong area resident passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at his home near Guymon.

The son of Ivan Louis and Dallas Elsie (Taylor) Hill, he was born July 8, 1943 in Liberal, Kansas.  Steven attended school in Haine, Kansas until 10 ^th grade.  In 1985 he completed his GED and was a High School Graduate of Rolla, Kansas.  Steven served in the Army National Guard from 1963 to 1969.

Steven met his wife, Edra Marie (Tarrant) at Tradewinds in Liberal, Kansas where they both worked.  They were married on August 6, 1965 in Rolla, Kansas at the United Methodist Church.  He and Edra enjoyed bowling and were on leagues while living in Liberal.  In 1968 they moved to Rolla, Kansas where he worked at the Rolla Coop Service Station.

Steven worked for Light Farms for several years.  He was a member of the Rolla Jaycee's and played on the men's softball league.  He served on the Board of the Elkhart Dusters baseball team.  He and Edra enjoyed hosting several players during the summers.  He also worked for UPG (Enron), Elkhart Hot Oil and was excited to be working for the Morton County Road Department, where he worked until retirement.

Steven loved to fish, tell jokes, collect pens/pencils, play cards and do wood working.  In 2016, he and Edra moved to Guymon to be closer to family.

Preceding him in death by his parents; step-father, James Sanders; infant brother, Kenneth Hill; brother, Garret (Gary) Hill; sister, Janet Hamman; step-sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Gary Teeter; and a nephew, Casey Jones.

Steven is survived by his wife, Edra Hill; two daughters, Pamela Hill of Guymon, Oklahoma and Michelle Mathiews (Gary) of Woodson, Texas and a son, Bradley Hill (Gina) of Hooker, Oklahoma; six grandchildren:  Darcy McKee (Kyrié), Logan Daniel, Audrey Daniel, Brody Mathiews, Embrie Hill and Easton Hill; two great grandsons: Morgan Daniel and Augustus McKee; sister, Jeannie Jones; aunt, Doris Konig; brothers-in-law:  Kenneth Tarrant (Linda) and Clifford Tarrant; best friends, Larry and Wilene Burrows and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday morning, March 5 ^th at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Rolla, Kansas.  Inurnment will be at a later date in the Rolla, KS Cemetery.  Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
