Clarence Lee "Sonny" LaBrue, 78, of Guymon passed away Saturday morning, September 18, 2021 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon.

The son of Percy Clarence and Sarah Olive (Beach) LaBrue, Sonny was born June 19, 1943 in Anthony, Kansas.  He was raised on the family farm in Alfalfa County, Oklahoma near Byron.  He graduated from Byron-Driftwood Highschool in 1963 and then proudly served his country in the Army National Guard.

Sonny and Stella Louise Littrell were united in marriage on May 28, 1965 in Byron, Oklahoma.  They moved to Guymon in 1970 and have made Guymon their home since.  Sonny was a hardworker and had worked farming and for Swift and Adams Hardfacing.  He enjoyed sports, whether playing on the men's softball team or bowling leagues or watching his beloved OU Sooners or St. Louis Cardinals play.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Christina LaBrue; and two sisters, Marilyn Hatch and Fern Platt.

Survivors include his wife, Stella LaBrue of the home; one son, Scott LaBrue of Guymon; one daughter, LeAnn LaBrue of Guymon; seven grandchildren:  Heather Reeder of Chickasha, OK, Crystal White of Stinnett, TX, Brittany Gallegos of Dumas, TX, Kaylem LaBrue of Waxahachie, TX, Matthew Gallegos of Guymon, Tia McGuire of Alva, OK and Jade Whitehead of Guymon; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Susan Faye Berry of Byron, OK and Don LaBrue of Manchester, OK.

The family will greet friends at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, September 22 ^nd from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning, September 23 ^rd at 10:00 a.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel.  Interment with military honors will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon.
