Sharon Ann Woodward of Guymon, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024.

Born on February 1,1946 in Liberal, Kansas Sharon spent her youth riding horses, swimming in the water tanks during the warm summer months and playing in the winter snow drifts on the family ranch.

From the mid 1960's to the mid 1980's she dedicated herself to raising her family while at the same time graduating cum laude with a degree in education from the University of Central Oklahoma and later earning a master's degree in education. Sharon taught in the Oklahoma public school system for twenty-nine years. Many of her students remember her as their first-grade teacher who taught them how to read and write. She touched many young lives.

Retirement years were spent at the family ranch in Guymon, Oklahoma. She enjoyed being a part of the Oklahoma Panhandle ranching community, Victory Memorial Methodist Church, an avid OSU football fan and participating in local social events.  Santa Fe, New Mexico and Hawaii were favorite travel destinations.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Mildred Woodward of Guymon, Oklahoma, husband Garland James Anderson of Wayne, Oklahoma, son Kennon Lee Hoskins of Paoli, Oklahoma and sister Madelyn Woodward Flatt of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her brother, Dr. Kenneth Woodward and wife Maxine of Texhoma, Oklahoma, daughter LaRynda McNeal of Edmond, Oklahoma and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at the family plot in the Tyrone, Oklahoma Cemetery with Rev. David Player officiating.  Friends can sign the online guest book and leave condolences at www.bunchroberts.com.
