Sharon L. Mussman, 79, lifelong Hooker resident, passed away Saturday morning, May 26, 2018, at her home.
Sharon was born April 10, 1939 at the home place west of Hooker, the youngest child of Herman G. and Mattie Carolyn (Jones) Hitchcock. She attended school in Hooker, graduating with the Class of 1958.
She was united in marriage to Henry Mussman on December 22, 1956 in Hooker. They created their home together in Hooker and raised their three children. She was a devoted wife, homemaker and a good friend to all who knew her. Many remember her smile, her kind spirit and her willingness to help family, friends and neighbors.
As a longtime member of the Guymon Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, she was able to spend many years sharing her love of the Bible and the promise of a better life to come with her friends and neighbors.
She is preceded in death by her parents and twelve of her brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband Henry of the home, three children, Karon Thompson and her husband, Craig of Austin, Texas, Gregory Mussman of Hooker and Teresa Mussman of Arvada, Colorado. Survivors also include three grandchildren: Tessa Poff and her husband, Gunnar of Edmond, Oklahoma, Reese Mussman and Dyllan Mussman, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three great grandchildren: Presley, Piper and Devyn; one sister, Carolyn Falke and husband, David of Liberal, Kansas and one brother, Frank Hitchcock of Seattle, Washington.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday afternoon, June 2nd at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Guymon. Interment will follow at the Hooker Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
The Mussman Family will greet friends Friday, June 1st, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Memorials in memory of Sharon may be given to the Parkinson Association. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
