Sandra Luz Mesta Esquivel, 50, passed away Friday evening, August 16, 2024 at her home in Guymon surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Jesus Agustin Mesta Villa and Maria del Rosario Cerda Barboza, Sandra was born October 9, 1973 in Durango, Mexico.
Sandra and Emiliano Esquivel were married in 1991 in Durango, Mexico. The family moved to Guymon in 2001 from Durango. She worked for Seaboard Farms as an animal caretaker. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Maria Mesta Villa, and an infant son, Raul Esquivel.
Survivors include her husband, Emiliano Esquivel; two daughters: Karen Esquivel and husband, Cesar Cerda of Guymon and Yazmin Esquivel of Chicago, Illinois; three brothers: German Mesta Cerda, Jose Agustin Mesta Cerda and Juan Fernando Mesta Cerda; two sisters: Claudia Mesta Cerda and Marinely Mesta Cerda; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
Visitation will be Monday August 19th between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home. Rosary services will be Tuesday evening, August 20th at 7:00 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday morning, August 21st at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with burial following at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon.
