Samuel L. Fouquet, 83, well known Guymon entrepreneur, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 25, 2018 at his home.

The son of Alex and Beatta (Price) Fouquet, he was born July 13, 1935 in Prague, Oklahoma.  Sam attended school in Oklahoma City, graduating from Centeral Hlgh School.  He served in the United States Navy.

Sam was united in marriage to Deloris J. Wedel in Enid, Oklahoma on August 24, 1957.

In October of 1985 he co-founded Southern Office Supply Inc.  He was a member of the Guymon First Christian Church, active in Toastmasters Club and Guymon JC's.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Mary Michener.

Survivors include his wife, Deloris of the home, son, Samuel L. Fouquet, II  and wife, Linda of Fair Oaks, California, and daughter, Dena Fouquet Reust of Guymon.  Survivors also include one granddaughter, Natasha Madden of Oklahoma City, two great grandchildren, Emily and Trinity Madden both of Oklahoma City, and one sister, Julia Burgess of Washington, Oklahoma.

Mr. Fouquet had requested that his body be willed to the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.  Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
