Ruby Marie Brown, 77, passed away Saturday morning, June 25, 2016 at the home of her daughter, Shauna Artho.

The daughter of Lloyd B. and Othella Marie (Malone) Braden, she was born February 3, 1939 in Modesto, California.

Ruby and Thomas Maxwell "Max" Brown were united in marriage on July 7, 1958 in Littlefield, Texas. They made their home in Littlefield and Dumas, Texas before moving to Stratford, Texas in 1975. Max preceded her in death on November 6, 2010.

Ruby worked as a manicurist and attended the Stratford First Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, cooking and gardening, especially raising her peonies. Her family was the light of her life and brought her much enjoyment. She had lived with her daughter and family for the past six years, due to failing health.

In addition to her husband Max, she was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Marie Braden and one sister, Sharon Langford.

Survivors include her daughter and favorite son-in-law, Shauna and Doug Artho of Guymon; four grandsons: Nick & Kayla of Stratford, Texas, Levi & Crystal of Guymon, Matthew & Cassi of Guymon and Troy of Westminster, Colorado; nine great grandchildren: Reis, Jace, Lynette, Jade, Xander, Owen, Alivia, Xzavian and Jhett; and one sister, Patsy Braden of Carrizozo, New Mexico.

Graveside committal services will be held Saturday, July 9th at 11:00 a.m. at the Littlefield Memorial Park Cemetery in Littlefield, Texas.
