Ruben Salazar Lopez, 59, of Guymon, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at his home.

The son of Antonio Salazar DeLeon and Esperanza Lopez Guerrero, he was born August 16, 1962 in Durango, Mexico.

Ruben moved to Guymon from Salt lake City, Utah in 2009. He has been employed with Seaboard Foods Processing in Guymon for over 12 years. He was a member of the Catholic Church.

He was married to Laura Elena Robles on January 15, 2012 in Guymon.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Esperanza Lopez Guerrero and brother, Jaime Salazar.

Survivors include his father, Antonio Salazar DeLeon of Durango, Mexico; his wife, Lara Robles of Guymon; one daughter, Rubi Salazar; two sons, Saul Salazar and Ruben Israel Salazar all of Salt Lake City, Utah; and four grandchildren. Survivors also include three sisters: Martha Salazar of Durango, Mexico, Antonia Salazar of Fort Worth, Texas, and Veronica Salazar of Chicago, Illinois, and two brothers, Oscar Salazar and Sergio Salazar both of Ft. Worth, Texas.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 12th at 2:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel in Guymon with Deacon Luis DeLaGarza officiating. Interment will be at the Panteon Municipal Cemetery in Vicente Guerrero, Durango, Mexico.
