Rosella Mae Baber, 90, of Texhoma passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2021 at the Arcadia Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pensacola, Florida.

The daughter of Ralph and Amanda Davis, Rosella Mae (Davis) Baber was born March 28, 1930 in Wapakoneta, Ohio. Rosella attended the Cridersville High school system, graduating with the Class of 1948. After high school graduation Rosella worked at the local Wapakoneta photograph studio where she helped bring joy to others in the form of picture memories.

Rosella Mae Davis and Frank Chester Baber were united in marriage on December 2, 1951 in Cridersville, Ohio. They made their home in Texhoma, OK where Rosella worked with Frank helping on the family farm, as well as raising three children. The family later moved to Stratford, TX where Rosella and Frank owned and operated Signal Service, a successful electronics repair and retail store bringing TV service to many people who were without.

Rosella and Frank moved to Dillon, CO in 1969. Rosella worked at Keystone ski resort in the accounting department. Rosella was a large part of the little unknown startup ski resort in Summit County that is now one of the most sought out places for vacation skiers from across the globe.

The Babers returned to Texhoma in 1979, allowing Rosella, Frank and their son, Bill to go into partnership in the local Texhoma Western Auto store, Baber Supply. Bill Baber continues to operate Baber Supply providing a valuable resource to the Texhoma community. Rosella was involved with many local community activities, including as a volunteer with the Texhoma United Methodist Church along and as an election voting monitor for local, state and government elections.

Rosella was an avid seamstress.  She enjoyed creating clothes for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren and making items for others.  Rosella moved to Pensacola, FL in November 2016 to be with her daughter Barbara.

Rosella is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Amanda Davis, husband Frank Baber, brother Robert Davis, one grandson, William Jason Baber and daughter-in-law Robbi Baber.

Survivors include three children: Bill Baber of Texhoma, Barbara Martensen and husband, Allen Martensen of Pensacola, FL and Bob Baber and wife, Susan of Highlands Ranch, CO; her grandchildren: Jennifer Hyde of Liberal, KS, Mandi Allen of Fort Worth, TX, Brad Baber of Guymon, OK, Trudy Comerford of Pensacola, FL, Morgan McLaughlin of Coral Springs, FL, Natilee Foster of Pensacola, FL, Jacy Baber of Highlands Ranch, CO and Kinsey Baber of Highlands Ranch, CO; and her great grandchildren: Braxton Hyde, Levi Allen, Jentry Baber, Ansley Baber, Lucy Comerford, Everett Comerford and Claire McLaughlin.

There will be a visitation on Friday, January 29 ^th between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home in Guymon.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning, January 30 ^th at 10:00 a.m. at the Texhoma Cemetery with Rev. David Jenkins, pastor of the Texhoma Methodist Church officiating.
