Ron Sanford, 69, lifelong Guymon resident passed away Friday morning, June 19, 2020 at the Medical City Alliance in Fort Worth, Texas.

The son of Earl Ernest and Carrie Margaret (Olsen) Sanford, Ronald Earl was born July 21, 1950 in Guymon. He attended the Guymon school system, graduating with the Class of 1968.

Ron and Rhonda Costner were united in marriage on November 21, 1981 in Guymon. Ron had worked at Adams Hardfacing, Guymon Motor Parts and Engine Machine Specialists, retiring in 2017 due to health issues. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and member of the Sunset Lane Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Don Sanford.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda of the home; one daughter, Michelle Minchew and husband, Phillip of Fort Worth, Texas and three nephews and two nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning, June 25th at 10:00 a.m. at the Sunset Lane Baptist Church with Pastor David Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

The family will greet friends on Wednesday evening, June 24th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials in Ron's name can be made to the American Cancer Society. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
