Robyn Lynne Hinchey, 47, of Edmond, OK, passed away on September 16, 2024, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born in Guymon, OK on September 23, 1976, to Mack and Sharon Hinchey, Robyn's remarkable intellect and ambition shone brightly from an early age. As the valedictorian of her high school class, she demonstrated exceptional dedication and academic prowess. Her outstanding achievements led to an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy, where she proudly graduated with the Class of 1999.

Robyn dedicated eight years of her life to the United States Air Force as a missileer and range operations commander, rising to the rank of Captain. Her unwavering commitment to her country and exemplary service were recognized with an honorable discharge in 2007.  Recently, Robyn continued her service with the Air Force as a civilian program manager in the 559th Software Engineering Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, OK. Robyn's leadership and dedication inspired all who had the privilege of serving alongside her.

Robyn's journey to obtaining her Executive MBA from the University of Southern Florida in 2018 was not just an academic achievement but a transformative experience that enriched her both personally and professionally. The rigorous curriculum challenged her to think critically and strategically, but it was the friendships she forged with her classmates that truly shaped her time there. Collaborating with diverse, driven individuals created a supportive network that provided invaluable insights and perspectives, enhancing her learning experience. Together, they navigated late-night study sessions, engaging discussions, and shared triumphs, forming bonds that would last well beyond graduation. For Robyn, the degree was a steppingstone, but the relationships she built were the real treasure of her journey.

Robyn is survived by her beloved parents, Mack and Sharon Hinchey of Guymon, OK, and her grandmother, Marjorie Headrick, also of Guymon. She is deeply mourned by her boyfriend, Brian Knight of Edmond, OK, as well as her siblings: Macanda (Hinchey) Block and her husband, Travis, and niece, Catherine, of Cypress, TX; Shara Hinchey of North Richland Hills, TX; and Averie (Hinchey) Lucas and her husband, Trevor, of Stillwater, OK. Robyn also leaves behind her precious English bulldog, Wynnie.

Her extensive extended family will dearly miss her. Her aunts and uncles include Chris and Joy Hinchey; Donna Hinchey and Steve Bowling; John and Karen (Headrick) Bergner; Joe and Billie (Headrick) Bass; Marsha (Headrick)Truitt; Pete and Deborah Headrick; and Susie  (Headrick) Johnson. Her cousins, who hold her memory close, include Scott and Meg Ann (Hinchey) Weibling and family; Brian Curtis; Kelli (Curtis) Johnston and family; Jamie (Curtis) Lathrop and family; Chris Bergner and family; Brandon Bergner and family; Adrienne (Bergner) Kirkland and family; Misty (Bass) McKendree and family; Lucinda Bass and family; Clayton Diaz Bass and family; Chris Hitch and family; Hope (Headrick) Plum and family; Colter Headrick; Deedra (Grubb) Bradford and family; Aubrey (Johnson) Mann and family; and Andrea (Johnson) Harris and family.

Robyn was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Tom and Lois Hinchey; maternal grandfather, Harlin Headrick; and cousins Charity (Headrick) Hitch and Brecklynn (Johnson) Davis.

Robyn's legacy endures through the countless lives she touched with her compassion, intelligence, and unwavering spirit. She will be remembered not only for her remarkable accomplishments but also for her warmth and kindness. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories of her vibrant presence.

Visitation and viewing will be Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Victory Memorial Methodist Enrichment Center in Guymon, OK. A memorial service celebrating Robyn's life will be held on Friday September 20, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Victory Memorial Methodist Church in Guymon, Oklahoma. Burial with military honors will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to United States Air Force Academy Endowment in Robyn's honor.
