Roberto "Papi" Rodriguez, 74, of Gruver, Texas passed away Tuesday evening, August 7, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

The son of Benito and Augustina (Quijas) Rodriguez, he was born July 10, 1944 in Porvenir, Mexico.

Roberto was united in marriage to Felicitas Morales on December 12, 1967 in Porvenir. They have been residents of Gruver for the past 30 years. He was engaged in farming, retiring in 2006.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Norma Rodriguez and three brothers, Eustacio, Felipe and Ignacio Rodriguez.

Survivors include his wife, Felicitas of the home; six children: Elizabeth Rodriguez of Guymon, Maria Ortega and husband, Ramon of Plainview, Texas, Ofelia Nalls and husband, Chris of Amarillo, Texas, Jose Rodriguez of Dallas, Texas, Jesus Rodriguez and wife, Jasmine of McLean, Texas and Roberto Rodriguez Jr. of Amarillo, Texas. Survivors also include 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and six brothers and sisters: Ricardo Rodriguez, Rosa Corralejo, Rafael Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Josefina Limon and Juana Garcia.

Rosary services will be Friday evening, August 10th at 7:00 p.m. at the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday afternoon, August 11th at 3:00 p.m. at the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Very Rev. Christopher Brashears, celebrant. Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. for visitation.
