Robert Lee Friday, 54, longtime Guymon resident passed away Friday evening, January 5, 2018 at the Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.
The son of Violet Rose Friday, Robert Lee was born April 17, 1963 in Clinton, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Cheyenne Arapaho Tribe. They moved to Guymon when he was a baby and have resided here since.
Robert Lee worked with the Panhandle Area Sheltered Workshop. He enjoyed building things for others and doing arts & crafts. He also had a great love for Michael Jackson and his music. Robert Lee was also known to have an ornery side, and enjoyed being a prankster.
He is survived by his mother, Violet Beaty of the home; two brothers: Oliver George Martin of Norman, Oklahoma and Leland Gus Martin of Texas; along with all of his friends and co-workers at the Panhandle Area Sheltered Workshop.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning, January 10th at 10:00 a.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel with Rev. Odie Nunley officiating. Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
