Robert "Bob" Anderson, 93, of Kenton, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Cimarron Memorial Hospital in Boise City, Oklahoma.

The son of Nickolai and Olefena (Larsen) Anderson, Robert Maylin Anderson was born March 16, 1928 in Lemmon, South Dakota.  Bob was raised on the family homestead in Sioux County, North Dakota.  Bob came to Oklahoma to work during wheat harvest.

Bob was married to Betty Jean Coppock on September 24, 1949 at Ringwood, Oklahoma.  They moved to Guymon in 1950.  Betty preceded him in death on December 26, 1987.  Bob worked as a postal clerk in Guymon and in the custom haying and scrap metal businesses.

Bob and Phyllis (McDonald) Whitney were married on February 12, 1989 at Felt, Oklahoma.  Bob was an avid supporter of the Cimarron Heritage Center in Boise City, and the Kenton museum and was an active member of Gideon's International.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Betty; one brother, Otis Anderson; two sisters, Dorothy Anderson and Edith Johnson; and grandson, Kyle Maness.

Bob is survived by his wife, Phyllis Anderson of the home in Kenton; children: Arris Anderson and wife, Nancy of Guymon, Arla Hintergardt and husband, Fred of Guymon, Bruce Whitney and wife, Nona of Felt, Janese Maness and husband, Kenneth of Felt, and Budd Whitney and wife, Amy of Amarillo; grandchildren: Brock, Fara, Heath, Mark, Amy, Coy, Tad, Seth, Trent, Audra, Chase and Jesslyn; and 34 great grandchildren

Funeral services will be conducted Monday morning, April 19 th at 11:00 a.m. CST at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Boise City.  Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon with Rev. Odie Nunley and Pastor Kim Mizer officiating.  Viewing will be at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home on Sunday, April 18 th from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.
