Obituary

Robert Ray Clenney, 80 longtime Guymon resident, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025 at his home.

The son of Henrey and Elizabeth Rose (Hooper) Clenney, he was born May 15, 1945 in Perryton, Texas.

Ray and Verna Geraldine Thomas were married on March 10, 1971 in Guymon.  She preceded him in death on June 18, 2025.

Ray attended school in Balko, graduating with the Class of 1963.  He moved to Guymon from Perryton, Texas in 1970.  Ray was a truck driver the majority of his working life.  He enjoyed roping, dirt track racing, motorcycle runs and car shows.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Verna, sister, Donna Louise Wicket, and two brothers, James Eugene and Albert Clenney.

Survivors include his daughter, Tammie Kay Martin of Guymon; grandchildren: Trittnie and husband, Colby, Braidyn and wife, Shelbi, and Landon; and great grandchildren, Shadeyn, Ryan, and Brynlee, nephew, Buddy Clenney, and special friend, Orville Cumiford.

Memorial services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, November 9, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Blue Mound Cemetery in Beaver County, Oklahoma, with Read Barby officiating.
