Rafael Martinez Tapia, 52, of Guymon passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon.

The son of Pablo Martinez Ortiz and Ernestina Tapia de Martinez, he was born October 24, 1972 in Torreon Coahuila Mexico.  Rafael was a public worker while in Mexico, building streets and doing construction.

Rafael and Ana Serrano were married in Juarez in 1998.  In addition to working construction, Rafael had worked as a sound man for a mariachi band and was currently working in maintenance for McDonalds.

He is survived by his wife, Ana; two sons: Pablo Martinez and Rafael Martinez; one daughter, Naomi Martinez; his mother, Ernestina Tapia de Martinez; one sister, Nohemi Martinez; and two brothers: Hector Martinez and Gerardo Martinez.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home.  There will be a family celebration of Rafael's life at a later time.
