Phyllis Ann (Salisbury) Farmer, 57, of Guymon, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016, at her home in Guymon.

Phyllis was born to Wayne and Anita (Thompson) Salisbury on November 14, 1958, in Woodward, Oklahoma. She grew up in Mooreland, Oklahoma, until 1972, when the family moved to Guymon. She graduated from Guymon High School in 1977.

Phyllis' occupations included selling real estate and retail. She loved working with the public, and anyone who knew her would tell you that she never met a stranger. She was active in Alcoholics Anonymous and cherished the friendships she made through AA.

Phyllis was united in marriage to Tim Farmer on December 25, 1981. To this union, their daughter, Bridgette was born.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Anita Winter; her stepfather, Arnold Winter; her special friend, Robert Gillaspie; and her first husband, Tim Farmer.

She is survived by her daughter, Bridgette Farmer, of Oklahoma City; her step-son, Shane Farmer, of Guymon; her father, Wayne Salisbury, and wife, Shirley, of Enid; her sister, Brenda Matzek, and husband, Ryan, of Guymon and brother, Michael Salisbury of Kremlin, OK.

Memorial services will be held on Friday afternoon, July 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home in Guymon with Junior Salisbury officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice and will be accepted at the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
