Peter Joseph "Joe" Hein III, 64, lifelong Guymon resident, passed away unexpectedly, Monday evening, July 7, 2025 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

The son of Peter Joseph Hein II and Mary Helen (Kohler) Hein, he was born June 2, 1961 in Boise City, Oklahoma.  Joe attended school in Guymon graduating with the Class of 1979.  He had attended several technical training schools, was a member of the Elk's Lodge and St. Peter's Catholic Church.

Joe and Carla Overton were united in marriage on June 1, 1991 at his parents home NE of Guymon.  Joe worked as a commercial parts man several years, retiring in 2023.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Peter Joseph and Mary Helen Hein.  Survivors include his wife, Carla of the home, one son, Austin Hein of Guymon, and one daughter, Sydney Nicole Hein of Wisconsin.  Survivors also include three sisters: Cheri and husband, Donald Livesay of Guymon, Cindy Quesenbury of Guymon, and Catrina and husband, Bill Smith of Washington, Oklahoma.

Celebration of Joe's life will be Thursday evening, July 10th at 7:30 p.m. at the Guymon American Legion, 171 Veteran's Lane, Guymon, Oklahoma.

The family request memorials in lieu of flowers be given to a charity of choice.  Memorials will be accepted at Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942
