Otto Frittz, Jr., 91, lifelong Guymon resident passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the Heritage Community Manor.

The son of Otto Frittz, Sr. and Helen A. Howsley Frittz Long, he was born January 20, 1928 in Guymon, Oklahoma. Otto attended the Guymon school system, graduating with the GHS Class of 1946. He then attended Panhandle A&M College in Goodwell.

Otto and Emma Jean Shields were united in marriage on June 6, 1948 in Guymon. Otto worked for Republic Natural Gas from 1949 until 1960. He then joined family in operating the House of Color and later opened the Wallpaper Shop. Otto served as a Boy Scout leader for many years, where he was awarded the Silver Beaver. He was a lifelong member of the Guymon First Presbyterian Church, where his Grandfather Howsley was a charter member.

Otto was an active member of the Masonic Lodge #335 AF&AM, where he had served as past Master and as secretary for 20+ years. He was also active in the Panhandle Shrine Club, serving as secretary/treasurer for many years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Otto Frittz, Sr.; his mother and step-father, Helen and Judson Long; two brothers: Robert T. "Bob" and George M. Frittz; one sister, Myrtle Jones and his son, Robert Micheal "Mike" Frittz on March 17, 2017.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 71 years, Jean Frittz; two daughters: Debbie Straabe and husband, Barry of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Claudette Reynolds and husband, Gary of Guymon; six grandchildren: Michelle Williamson and husband, Steve, Christy Rogers and husband, Kirk, Cari Felts and husband, Keith, Kelli Piercy and husband, Dustin, Travis Longacre and wife, Janet and Brandon Reynolds; fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, December 21st at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Carol LaMar, pastor of the Panhandle Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon. Services are under the care of Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
