Obituary

Norma Williams, 78, of Hardesty passed away Monday, July 31, 2023 at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.

One of thirteen children born to Earl and Sivilla (Roberts) Robinson, Norma Jane was born January 1, 1945 in Hollis, Oklahoma.  She attended school in Hollis, graduating with the Class of 1963.

Norma and Robert Lesley Williams were united in marriage on May 27, 1972 in Hollis.  They later lived in Fritch, Texas and Elkhart, Kansas before retiring to the farm near Hardesty.  Norma attended the Hardesty Methodist Church.  She loved spending her time stamping and making personalized cards, quilting and sewing, canning and following her grandkids around in all their events.  Norma was a devoted homemaker and later in life, returned to school and earned her bachelor degree in early childhood education.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Williams on March 2, 2002; her parents, Earl and Sivilla Robinson; five brothers: Earl C., Carl, Calvin, Tommy and Jerry Robinson; and three sisters: Queeda Wilson, Carolyn Castleman and Dr. Mona Sue Tway.

Survivors include her two sons:  J.P. and Sheri Williams of Guymon and Kirsten and Virginia Williams of Amarillo, Texas; six grandchildren: Johnathon Perez of Sand Springs, OK, Aubrey and Shauna Perez of Guymon, Kobie Williams of Guymon, Addison Williams of Guymon, Craig and Angela Williams of Amarillo, and Heather Williams of Amarillo; two great grandchildren: Zyiah and Marilyn; four sisters: Carmalita Eastham of Midwest City, OK, Linda Driskill and husband, Terrell of Oklahoma City, Glenda Helfrich of Lubbock, TX, and Brenda Robinson of Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law, Sue Robinson of Hollis, OK;  brother-in-law, Bill Castleman of Millsap, TX; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning, August 4th at 10:00 a.m. at the Hardesty Methodist Church with Edward Sifford, Jr. officiating.  Interment will follow at the Hartville Cemetery SE of Hardesty.
