Nita Faye
Myers
Aug 5, 1957 — Dec 12, 2022
Nita Myers, 65, of Elkhart passed away Monday, December 12, 2022 at the Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.
Nita Faye Goldman was born in Pueblo, Colorado to Glenn Goldman and Cathlene Jo Sparks on August 5, 1957. She married Harold Stroud and they had four children: Toma, Eugene, Riesa, and Jessica. Together they traveled to many places between Kansas and Alaska.
She later moved to Pierre, South Dakota and married Delano Arndt. They then moved to Lander, Wyoming where they remained together until he passed. She then relocated to where she called her hometown of Elkhart, Kansas and married Tom Myers. This is where she remained until she passed away.
When Nita was not playing with her children and grandchildren, she could be found working with her flowers, the garden, listening to music and dancing, or tending to the animals. She always carried a passion for horses - at one time being a jockey, training racehorses, or just going on a trail ride.
Nita was preceded in death by her mother Cathlene Jo, her father, Glenn Goldman, her husband Tom Meyers, and her beloved granddaughter Olivia Jacobson.
She is survived by her sisters: Lisa Perky (Amarillo TX) and Judy Thompson (Amarillo TX); her children: Toma Schumacher (Sioux Falls SD), Eugene Stroud (Elkhart KS), Riesa Stroud (Watertown SD), and Jessica Stroud (Sioux Falls SD), and her ten grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Elkhart KS at a later date. Please send all cards and condolences to Riesa Stroud, 1028 13 th St. SW, Watertown, SD 57201. Friends can sign the online guestbook and leave condolences at www.bunchroberts.com .
