Nancy Lou Wise, 86, longtime Guymon resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Heritage Community

The daughter of Frank Harvey and Abbie Christine (Swain) Crandall, she was born May 8, 1936 in Beatrice, Nebraska.  She was a graduate of Bryant, Arkansas High School and member of the semi-pro Ft. Smith Diamond Dolls softball team in the 1950's.

Nancy and Stuart Wise were united in marriage on October 18, 1955.  They moved to Guymon from Weatherford, Oklahoma in 1970.  As a resident of Guymon for fifty-four years, she was a homemaker as well as part-time activities director at Dunaway Manor.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stuart on April 8, 2002; son, Richard Wise; sister, Paula Goostree; and two brothers, Harold and Larry Crandall.

She is survived by her son, Steven Wise and wife, Peggy of Universal City, Texas; daughter, Paula Hendricks and husband, Mark of Fritch, Texas; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Family inurnment will be in the Elmhurst Cemetery.  Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
