James Michael "Mike" Coffey, 73, longtime Texhoma resident passed away Tuesday evening, May 13, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

The son of George and Martha (Lackey) Coffey, he was born August 8, 1951 in Amarillo, Texas.  Mike attended Palo Duro High School in Amarillo, graduating with the Class of 1970.

Mike and Mary Yates were united in marriage on January 15, 1971 in Amarillo.  They moved to Texhoma from Amarillo in 1974.

Mike worked for Texhoma Wheat Growers for 45 years, retiring in 2019.  Mike was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, served on the Texhoma Fire Dept., ambulance department, and was a reserve officer with the Texhoma Police Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sharon Coffey; granddaughter, Jessika Alexander; sister, Kathy Mason and brother, George Coffey.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Coffey of the home; five children:  Jamie Reeves and husband, Leonard of PawPaw, Michigan, Daphne Dodd and husband, Greg of Texhoma, Oklahoma, Collete Martin and husband, Scott of Hardesty, Oklahoma, James Coffey of Texhoma, Oklahoma and Glenn Coffey and wife, Brooke of Camargo, Oklahoma.  Survivors also include ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister, Martha Jo Hendricks and husband, Charles of Amarillo, Texas and brother, Dwayne Coffey of Wichita, Kansas.

Funeral services will be conducted, Tuesday afternoon, May20th at 2:00 p.m. at the Texhoma First Baptist Church with Pastor Dylan Bryant officiating.  Family inurnment will be in the Texhoma Cemetery.

Memorials in memory of Mike will be accepted for the Harrigton Cancer Center or the Texhoma Fire Department.  Memorials will be accepted at Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
