Obituary

Michael Lee Lindsay, 78, longtime Guymon resident, passed away Saturday morning March 23rd, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

The son of Alva Lee and Margaret Jane (Slentz) Lindsay, he was born May 27, 1945 in Fort Worth, Texas.  The family moved to Guymon from Midland-Odessa, Texas in 1955.  Mike attended school in Guymon, graduating with the Class of 1963, he attended Oklahoma State University for three years and OPSU for one year.

Mike and Lyndell Furnish were united in marriage on July 1, 1967 in Guymon.  Mike was an entrepreneur, he was a partner in Sam's Well Servicing for several years.  He was a member of Guymon Masonic Lodge   335, Panhandle Shrine Club and Promise Keepers.

He is preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Cotton Furnish and infant son, Chad Gibson Lindsay.

Survivors include his wife, Lyndell of the home, two children, Joseph Michael Lindsay and wife, Leigh of Guymon and Shea Lindsay-Krier and huband, Isaac of Guymon, and his mother-in-law, June Furnish of Guymon.  Survivors also include eight grandchildren: Kaysha Lindsay of Edmond, Shelby Redcorn and Caleb Branson of Guymon, Katie Lindsay of Guymon, Spencer Redcorn and Carli of Bethany, OK, Joseph Michael Lindsay II of Amarillo, Sutton Redcorn of Guymon, Sophie Krier of Guymon and Jack  Lindsay of Guymon. six great grandchildren: Wakon Branson, Finn Branson, Emersyn Honeman, Orren Cotton Lindsay, Lois June Lindsay and Josephine Lindsay, brothers-in-law, Bing Furnish and wife Roxane of Dennison, TX, Rick Furnish and wife, Val of Hardesty, OK, and Clarke Rigsby and wife, Mary Ann of Tempe, AZ., and special cousin, Ann Haley of Perryton, TX.

Interment will be Wednesday, March 27th at 12 noon in the Elmhurst Cemetery.  Memorial services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Victory Memorial Methodist Church with Pastor David Player officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26 between the hours of 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. at the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home.
