Melba June Gribble, 87, longtime Guymon resident, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Silver Hills Rehabilitation Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The daughter of Robert Allen and Jessie Laura (McKelvey) Gault, she was born September 28, 1928 in Hobart, Oklahoma.

Melba and Loren Eugene Gribble were united in marriage on August 12, 1945 in Liberal, Kansas. Loren preceded her in death on April 29, 1997.

Melba was a bookkeeper with the First National Bank in Guymon for several years. She was a homemaker and active member of the First Christian Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Loren, Son Mike Gribble and grandson, Doug Weeks.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Davis of Guymon and Valerie Huddleston and husband, Donnie of Texhoma, Oklahoma. Survivors also include five grandchildren, Kimberly, Candace, Chris, Kellie and Loren.

Family interment will be in the Barden Cemetery located north of Guymon.
Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
