Mary Frances Madrid, 75, of Guymon passed away Sunday morning, December 5, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Cornelio and Odelia (Abeyta) Arguello, she was born September 15, 1946 in Roy, New Mexico. Frances and Robert Madrid were united in marriage on September 22, 1962 in Roy. The family moved to Guymon from Dalhart, Texas in 1971.
Frances worked as a CNA with Dunaway Manor for many years and as a loving and dedicated home health caretaker, up until her health required retirement in 2020. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Guymon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings: Eloy Arguello, Arthur Arguello and Susan Romero.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Madrid of the home; five children: Roberta (Kenny) Lunsford of Guymon, Norman Madrid of Spearman, TX, Alvin (Sheri) Madrid of Sioux Falls, SD, Gerri (Daniel) Castillo of Guymon and Greg Madrid of Guymon; thirteen grandchildren: Kayla and Kyler Lunsford, Rachelle Trimble, April and Carly Madrid, Kelsie Wollmuth, Kylie Madrid, Britne Shrout, Nicholas, Hannah and Sarah Smith, and Phillip and Katie Madrid; 19 great grandchildren; five siblings: Margie Richmond of Pueblo, CO, Louie (Linda) Sandoval of Guymon, Geraldine Baca of Tucumcari, NM, Meeky (David) Garcia of Guymon, and Martha (Craig) Johnson of Marble Falls, TX; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Rosary will be recited Monday evening, December 13 th at 7:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 until 7:00. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday afternoon, December 14 th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Jerome Krug, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery.
