Obituary

Marvin G. Heisler, 65, passed away peacefully in his home on March 28, 2020 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, surrounded by his family and friends. Marvin succumbed to his death from a very rare disease, Neurosarcodosis.

Marvin was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on September 4, 1954 to Marvin and Ruth (Leurquin) Heisler. He graduated from Suring High School in 1972.

Marvin proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp as a sergeant with an E-5 ranking during the Vietnam War. He was a field radio operator. While overseas, he traveled to Okinawa, Korea, Philippines, Hong Kong and Singapore.

After serving his time in the military he worked at 7-11, as a cab driver and was a supervisor for Curative Rehabilitation. Once Marvin retired he enjoyed working on computers, collecting stamps and working on his family history tree. Marvin was also a member of the American Legion Post 44.

Marvin is survived by his son: Matt and Loretha Heisler of Hardesty, Oklahoma; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Alan and Linda Heisler of Townsends, Wisconsin; two sisters: Nancy Heisler of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and Judy and Nick Orley of Newald, Wisconsin; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Heartland caregivers, Kathy Fawcett and Annabell for all of their care given to Marvin.

Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date. The family will place a notice prior to the event. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marvin's name to help with family expenses will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
