Luz Herminia Vargas, 77, of Guymon, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 12, 2020 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

The daughter of Elias Vargas and Adela Cordova, she was born October 26, 1942 in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Luz was married to Juan De Dios Morales in Chihuahua, Mexico in 2001.  She attended school in Mexico, and was office manager for the Bus Depot for 25 years.

Luz moved to Guymon from Denver, Colorado in July of 2015.  She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Guymon.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Juan De Dios Morales of Chihuahua, four sons, Jose Luis Esquivel of Omaha, Nebraska, Juan Lucero and wife, Carmen of Liberal, Kansas, Jaime Lucero and wife, Patty of Guymon, and Bocho Morales and wife, Selene of Denver.  Survivors also include four daughters, Maria E. Lucero and husband, Jose of Salazar, Wisconsin, Rose Lucero of Denver, Anna Luz Morales and husband, Alfredo of Denver, and Armida Morales and husband, Samuel of Salazar, Wisconsin, 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, one brother, Exrain Vargas of Mexico, and five sisters, Julia Vargas of Mexico, Sara Vargas of Illinois, Josefina Vargas of Mexico, Elva Vargas of Iowa, and Alicia Vargas of Colorado.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning, September 15th at 11:00 a.m. at the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home with Rev. Pedro Mendoza officiating.  Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery.  Services are under the care of the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
