Lottie LaRie Hillman entered into her Savior's presence and was reunited with her husband on July 20, 2026 at her current home in Tulsa, OK.  LaRie was born February 5, 1953 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Mayo and Marie (Burton) Shults. She also had an older brother, Terry Shults.

LaRie started school in Tonkawa, OK before attending elementary at Goodwell and Lawrence, KS. For a while she hoped to become a professional baseball player with the New York Yankees (but said the Dodgers would do); however, she was disappointed when she found out that was only for boys. She graduated high school as one of 3 valedictorians of the class of 1971. She was active in band, playing the clarinet, and singing in school and church choirs.

She attend OPSU, graduating from there with a degree in Secondary Math Education. Later she would go back for an accounting degree and become a Certified Public Accountant.

She met and married her husband, Eugene Dale Hillman, Jr., formerly of Hooker, OK, on August 24, 1973 in Goodwell, OK. They met as part of a 6 person singing group, "Springtime Genesis", with the Baptist Student Union. He preceded her in death in October 1982. Of this union came three children, Leah, Brian and Jonathan. After being widowed young, she taught Math at various places, Guymon, Yarborough, and ultimately retiring from Hardesty. She also worked for a while as an accountant, but the school teacher role was better suited to raising children. She enjoyed music, crafts, and many other activities.

She was very active in the First Baptist Church of Guymon, OK, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School, and leading crafts for Vacation Bible School, among so many other activities.  She served faithfully at Loaves and Fishes in Guymon until her health caused her to relocate to Tulsa, OK. She was still serving faithfully her community at the Country Club of Woodland Hills in Tulsa as pianist and organist for devotions and community church, a member of the choir, teaching a Bible Study there, and many other craft and other activities that she cherished with her new-found friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, as well as her husband, and many other family members and cherished friends who had gone before.

She is survived by a daughter, Leah Hillman (and Dale Bushyhead) of Tulsa, OK, and two sons, Brian Hillman (and Kara Silvey) of Guymon, and Jonathan Hillman (and wife Mysha) of Colorado Springs, CO.  She is also survived by her cherished granddaughters, Ellarie, Everleigh and Emelia of Colorado Springs, CO, along with numerous other family members she loved dearly and so many beloved friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday afternoon, August 8, 2026 at 2 pm at the First Baptist Church in Guymon, OK with Pastor Michael Carter officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in her honor to either the First Baptist Church of Guymon or Loaves and Fishes of Guymon, OK.  Memorials will be accepted at Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, P.O.
