Linda (Hull) Furrer, 76, passed away Monday afternoon, June 12, 2017 at the Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, Texas.

The daughter of Vernon and Marjorie (Paine) Hull, Linda Kay was born November 6, 1940 in Glendale, California. She was raised for a time in Guymon, Oklahoma where she attended grade school, before the family returned to the Glendale area. Linda always enjoyed spending the summers with family in Guymon. Linda graduated from San Fernando Valley High School with the Class of 1958.

Following high school, Linda and Glenn Henry Martin were married. Three children were born to this union: Shelli Diane, Carin Lynn and Glenn Charles. On August 31, 1979, Linda and Leroy Eugene Furrer were united in marriage in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Linda had worked as an administrative assistant for KLA Enterprises in Santa Clara, California, retiring in 1999 to Las Vegas, Nevada. She had also worked for MidPlains Irrigation and for the Texas County Sheriff's Office in the late 1970's and early 1980's. Linda and Leroy moved from Las Vegas to Dallas, Texas in December 2015. Linda spent many years enjoying boating, water and snow skiing with her family as youngsters. In her retirement she loved attending to crafts of ceramics and fabric painting. Scrapbooking was one of her passions, along with crocheting afghans for her grandbabies. Above all, she loved her family and had the most amazing mother's heart you could imagine.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Leroy Furrer of the home in Arlington, Texas; three children: Shelli Banks and husband, Willis of Guymon, Carin Martin of Sacramento, CA, and Chuck Martin and wife, Diana of Campbell, CA; three step-children: Shellie Carter and husband, Garry of Guymon, Leyla Wagner and husband, Scott of Huntington Beach, CA and Stephanie Pittsey and husband, Scott of Hastings, NE; one brother, Chares Russell Hull and wife, Christina of Thousand Oaks, CA; special cousins: Karen Starr McClenahan and Bobbye Nance of Arlington, TX and Carolyn Lee of Broken Arrow, OK; grandchildren: T.J. (Alissa) Banks of Bozeman, MT, Donyala (Wade) Pearce of Mount Clare, VA, Tiffani (Sean) Mead of Plumas Lake, CA, Ty Michael Ashcraft of Sacramento, CA, Talisa Nicole Banks (Travis Brewer) of Ridgway, CO, Brian (Dania) Overson of Sacramento, CA, Benjamin Overson of Campbell, CA, Ashley Nicole Martin of Campbell, CA, Michael Martin of Campbell, CA; step-grandchildren: Brittany (Travis) McDowell of Guymon, OK, Katlyn (Alonso) Hidalgo of Texhoma, OK, Jordan (Christa) Carter of Oklahoma City, OK, Nick and Hannah Wagner of Huntington Beach, CA, and Nick, Matthew, Zoey and Samantha Pitsey of Hastings, NE; and 22 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, June 17th at 2:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel with Rev. Wayne Dawson officiating. Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
