Lillie Mary Ramirez, 86, longtime Guymon resident, passed away Sunday morning, February 18, 2024, at the Coldwater Manor in Stratford, Texas.

The daughter of Fernando and Gregorita (Sena) Olguin, she was born July 9, 1937, in Garita, New Mexico. Lillie attended school in Hereford, Texas, and was very proud that she earned her GED at the age of 50.

Lillie and Tony Ramirez were united in marriage on April 25, 1959, in Hereford, Texas. They moved to Guymon from Perryton, Texas in October of 1967. She was a homemaker, but made many lifelong friends through her cleaning and ironing. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Tony, beloved son, Philip Ramirez, four siblings: Eloy Olguin, Francis Lopez, Marcella Soliz, and Esmeralda Torres and in-laws, Martin, Oscar and Louis Ramirez, Ofelia Perales and Rachel Sedillo.

Survivors left to cherish her memories are her three children: Mike Ramirez and wife, Liliana of Dumas, Texas, Randy Ramirez of Guymon and Sabrina Ramirez, also of Guymon. Survivors also include sisters Nieves Garcia of Ruidoso and Trudy Lopez of Ruidoso Downs, special sister-in-law and close friend, Judy Ramirez of Guymon, sisters-in-law Elizabeth Torres of Guymon, Dora Ramirez of Tulsa, and step brother-in-law, Cuco Reynozo of Amarillo; Seven grandchildren, Anthony of Guymon, Kye and wife, Stephanie of Amarillo, Michael of Philadelphia, Juan of Norman, Andy of Norman, Andres of Dumas, Brieanna of Houston and four great-grandchildren, Maretta, Trae, and Landon, of Amarillo and Elias Carr of Houston, along with numerous cherished nieces and nephews.

Lillie was a beautiful person inside and out. In 1957, she was crowned the Queen of the Mexican Independence Day in Hereford, Texas. She never met a stranger, and was kind and generous to all those she encountered.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a very loving and giving mother and grandmother. She was an excellent cook and served three meals a day to her family as they were all growing up, making tortillas daily. The family has many joyous and funny memories to cherish. She was a strong, determined, resilient example to all, and we are grateful that the Good Lord blessed us to share her life.

Funeral wake will be Wednesday evening, February 21st, the birthday of her precious son, Philip, at 7:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home with family greeting friends beginning at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, February 22nd, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m., with Father Joseph Schwarz, celebrant. Burial will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery.
