Lea Michelle Boyd, 49, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at her home in Newton, Kansas.

The daughter of Steven Allen and Cora Alice (McGee) Boyd, Lea was born July 17, 1974 in Monmouth, Illinois.  She had lived in the Guymon area and Woodward, Oklahoma before moving to Newton, where she has lived for the past 20 years.  She had worked as a sales clerk at Goodwill, and was a member of the Faith Mennonite Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Boyd.

Survivors include her mother, Cora Boyd of Newton; four sisters:  Paula Garcia of Newton, Jennifer Carter of Texhoma, Stephanie Carillo of Texhoma and Connie Butt of Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 23rd at 3:00 p.m. at the Faith Mennonite Church in Newton, Kansas.
