Larry Gene Warlick, 80, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at his home in Texhoma, Oklahoma.

The son of Lawrence and Inella (Wade) Warlick, he was born April 26, 1941 in Hobart, Oklahoma.

Larry graduated from High School in Bethany, Oklahoma. He was a member of the 27th OHP Academy, and was promoted to Troop I Commander in 1987, retiring in 1998. Larry was a firearms Instructor and a member of the OHP Pistol Team. He shot a perfect score from the 100 yard line using his 4 inch barrel OHP service revolver. His target made it to the Chief's Office.

Larry and Sheryl Ferguson were united in marriage on September 12, 1986 in Guymon. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2020. He is also preceded by his parents, daughter, Kristen High and brother, Kenneth Warlick.

Survivors include one daughter, Misti and husband, Ed Reust of Texhoma, Texas, two sons, Keith Warlick of Denver and Joey Montoya and wife, Stephanie of Borger, Texas; ten grandchildren: Haley and Shayla Montoya, Kelby Madrid, Kali Kimball, Bailey Kuykendall, Britni Keylon, Colter Reust, Josh and Shawn Warlick and Lauren Rose; 9 great grandchildren, and two brothers, Jerry Warlick of Bethany, Oklahoma and Don Warlick of Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Memorial services with OHP Honors will be conducted Monday morning, July 12, at 10:00 a.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home with Sam Garner, OHP Chaplain officiating. Family inurnment will be in the Elmhurst Cemetery.
