Larry Gene (L.G.) Collvins, 87, a longtime resident of Guymon, Oklahoma, passed away at the age of 87, Friday evening, July 4, 2025 at his home.
Larry was married to the love of his life, Jo Collvins, for 65 wonderful years, united in marriage on October 12. Their marriage was a testament to commitment, enduring love, partnership, and devotion. Together, they built a home filled with family and loving memories.
Born on June 25, 1938, Larry spent his life as a dedicated and hardworking man who took great pride in his craft. He worked for many years building a family business with his son Brad Collvins as a plumbing contractor in Guymon, where he earned a reputation for his skill and reliability. After a long and successful career, he retired 26 years ago. Larry enjoyed many pastimes, including fishing, hunting, woodworking, and reading any westerns.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Christy Alene Collvins, his son, Bradley Gene "Brad" Collvins, Grandson Aaron Wade Crane, and granddaughter, Jayne Leigh Crane.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Collvins of Guymon; son David Collvins of Wichita, Kansas, Daughter-in- law Donna Crane-Collvins wife of Bradley Collvins, daughter, Susan and husband J. Blane Lee of Seymour, Texas, and daughter Chandra and husband Sean Flanagan of Priceville, Alabama.
His grandchildren are Aaron Collvins and wife Victoria, Alex Collvins, Adam Collvins and wife Kelly, Sarah and husband Joe Jefcoat, Kerry Crane and wife, Jamie, Calvin Collvins and Kim, Lindsey Berryman and husband, Joel, Moriah Lee and Greg Carrillo, Joel B. Lee II, Aidan and Allison Flanagan, along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, extended family and so many others who were loved as his own.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning, July 12th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Guymon Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Kason Oakes officiating.
The family will greet friends at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home on Friday evening, July 11th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be given to the Nazarene Youth Group. Memorials will be accepted at Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
