LaDonna Joan Batterman, 82, lifelong area resident, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 5, 2017 at the Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.

The daughter of Marion and Ola Mae Carter, she was born May 24, 1935 in the Dombey, Oklahoma community.

LaDonna was a walking miracle, from the age of two, when a mobile home blew over on her head. Her parents were told she wouldn't live, but if she did, she would be a vegetable all her life. Through the newly found faith of her dad, God healed her and continued to give her miracles throughout her life.

LaDonna was married to Delbert E. Batterman on March 23, 1950 in Stratford, Texas. To this union four children were born: David Batterman, Adrian Batterman, LaDel Kelly and Melody McCreary.

She continued to raise her family in the Full Gospel faith. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Outside of God, her family was her life. Her one major prayer in life was that her children and grandchildren would make it to Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delbert; and brothers, Delbert and Bill Carter.

Survivors include two sons: David E. Batterman of Amarillo, Texas and Adrian Batterman and wife, Carol of Guymon; two daughters: LaDel Kelly and husband, Kennith of Guymon and Melody McCreary of Oklahoma City. Survivors also include grandchildren: David L. Batterman, Chad Batterman, Terry Dees, Carrie Dees, Brandon Kelly and John McCreary; great grandchildren: Jimmy Ortiz, Chelsey Batterman, Micheal Dees, Derek Dees, Allen Dees, Bryce Kelly and Traevyn Kelly; and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

Memorial services will be conducted Friday morning, November 10th at 10:00 a.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel with Pastor Richard Martin officiating. Family graveside services will be at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
