Kenneth Lynn Taylor, 75, longtime Guymon resident passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 at his daughter's home near Orlando, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family.

The son of Deever C. and Dorothy E. (Bates) Taylor, Kenny was born June 1, 1950 in Elk City, Oklahoma. He graduated from Hobbs, New Mexico and attended college at Panhandle State University and Southwest Kansas Technical School.

Shortly after graduation, Kenny moved to Guymon, Oklahoma and started his career with Phillips Petroleum.  While employed by Phillips he worked in plant maintenance, plant operations, moving to the field maintenance in 1980, as a field instrument man. He continued in this capacity until transferring into the engineering department automation group, retiring in October 2014 after 45 years of service.

Kenny and Vonciele King were united in marriage on September 2, 1973. He was an active member of the Guymon First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and granddaughter, Kloe Gamboe.

Survivors include his wife of 51+ years, Vonciele Taylor; his three children and their families:  Tennille and husband, Louis Karns of Orlando, Oklahoma, Greg Taylor and wife, Devon of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Teri and husband, Jackson Blankenship of Jefferson City, Missouri; grandchildren:  Arien and partner, Saiquan Hall of Dallas, Texas, Koen Gamboe of Edmond, Oklahoma, Jake and Mia Taylor of Yukon, Oklahoma, Demi and husband, Tristen Plumlee of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Rhett and Aisley Blankenship of Jefferson City, Missouri; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, June 27th at 2:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel with Pastor Michael Carter officiating.  Burial will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to help feed the cat colony at the park at Sunset Lake.  Kenny had a great love and compassion for animals - in his retirement years he enjoyed daily trips to the park to feed and water the strays that live there.  Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.  Friends can sign the online guestbook and leave condolences at www.bunchroberts.com.
