Kenneth Joe Pelkington, 63, lifelong Guymon resident passed away Sunday night, May 19, 2019 at the Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.

The son of Cletis R. Pelkington and Grace Marie Neal, he was born October 8, 1955 in Guymon, Oklahoma.

Ken was united in marriage to Brenda Jean Mueller on April 2, 1982 at the First Christian Church in Guymon. They made their home in Guymon, where Ken worked for the Sanitation Department for the City of Guymon for several years. He had also worked as an associate for WalMart for the past five years and ran a lawnmowing business.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Brenda Pelkington of the home; three brothers: Doug Belden of Enid, Stan Belden of Clarksville, Arkansas and David Belden of Guymon; three sisters: Brenda Hite of Texas, Rita Belden of Texas and Janice Pelkington of Oregon; nephew, Steve Churchill and wife, Peggy of Guymon.

Memorial services will be conducted Friday afternoon, May 24th at 2:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel with Rev. Larry Watson, pastor of the Guymon First Christian Church officiating. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
