Juan de Dios Morales, 82, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 at home in Thornton, Colorado surrounded by his loving family.

The son of Romulo Morales Chaparro and Julia Ruiz Chavez, Juan de Dios Morales Ruiz was born November 26, 1938 in Las Cruces, Namiquipa, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Juan was married to Luz Herminia Vargas in Mexico in 2001.  She preceded him in death on September 12, 2020.  Juan worked as a farmer and enjoyed riding horses and raising cattle.  He also enjoyed watching boxing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

He is survived by his four brothers: Alvaro Morales, Reyes Morales, Romulo Morales and Baraquiel Morales all of Chihuahua, Mexico; seven children:  Juan Lucero and wife, Carmen of Liberal, KS, Eliza Lucero and husband, Jose of Beloit, Wisconsin, Rosa Lucero of Denver, Jaime Lucero and wife, Patty of Guymon, Ana Luz Morales and husband, Alfredo of Denver, Ambrocio Morales and wife, Selene of Denver, and Armida Morales and husband, Samuel of Beloit, Wisconsin; fifteen grandchildren: Brianna, Amy, Sugeily, Kimberly, Omar, Eduardo, Cindy, Obed, Juanito, Christian, Aracely, Gerardo, Ibis, Gisell and Jose; and three great grandchildren: Genaro, Andrea and Daleysa.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening, September 12 ^th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted Monday morning, September 13 ^th at 10:00 a.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel with Rev. Pedro Mendoza, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church officiating.  Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon.  Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
