Joseph Charles Esquibel, 69, of Guymon passed away Thursday morning, September 17, 2026 at Baptist Saint Anthony’s Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.

The son of Filiberto and Maria Anita “Annie” (Archibeque) Esquibel, he was born July 16, 1957 in Las Vegas, New Mexico. He attended school in Las Vegas, graduating from Robertson High School in 1966.

He was united in marriage to Vicki Annette Isbell on September 4, 1976 in Las Vegas and they moved to Guymon, Oklahoma in 1992. Vicki preceded him in death on February 9, 2021.

Joeseph owned and operated Joe’s Tree Service in Guymon from 1995 until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Vicki and one brother, David Paul Esquibel.

Survivors include two daughters, Daphane Esquibel of Tyrone, Oklahoma and Julie Welch of Optima, Oklahoma; his grandchildren; five brothers and sisters: Jenni (Gene) Tapia of Albuquerque, NM, Roger (Juanita) Esquibel, Phyllis Trujillo, Phil (Nancy) Esquibel and Ralph Esquibel, all of Las Vegas, NM; along with numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family.

Memorial services will be held Thursday afternoon, October 1st at 2:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel with Pastor Van Heckle officiating. Friends can sign the online guestbook and leave condolences at www.bunchroberts.com.
