Jose Luis Garcia Salamanca, 63, of Guymon died Monday afternoon April 10, 2023 in Optima, Oklahoma.

The son of Guillermo Garcia Sr. and Maria Salamanca, he was born May 1, 1959 in Santa Barbara Chih. Mexico. Jose moved to the Guymon area in 1975 from Mexico.

He was married to Pascuala Villalobos on October 5, 1984 in Guymon.

Jose was engaged in maintenance for Seaboard Foods, retiring in 2022. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Pascuala of the home, two daughters, Noemi and husband, J.J. Palacios of Hooker and Angelica Garcia of Guymon. Survivors also include two grandchildren, Justin and Julian Palacios, two sisters, Maria E. Medina of Guymon and Rosa I. Rios of Guymon, one brother, Jose G. Garcia of Guymon, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary services will be Sunday evening, April 16th at 7:30 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be Monday morning, April 17th at 11:00 a.m. St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Father John Herrera, celebrant.

Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
