Johnnie Joe Harkins, 61, of Texhoma passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon.
The son of Floid C. and Shirley Marie (Fernandez) Harkins, Johnnie was born June 5, 1962 in Littlefield, Texas. His biological parents were Joe Coronado and Priscilla Fernandez. Johnnie graduated from Boise City High School with the class of 1982.
He was married to Joyce Baldonado and they had two children, Chris and Katrina. He worked as a truck driver for FedEx for the past nine years. He moved to Texhoma in 2022 from Stratford and was a member of Connection Church.
He was preceded in death by his mothers, Shirley Harkins in 2008 and Priscilla Fernandez in 2001.
He is survived by his fathers, Floid Harkins of Tupelo, Oklahoma and Joe Coronado of Monte Vista, Colorado; wife, Joyce Harkins of Stratford, Texas; two children, Chris Harkins and wife, Shelby of Pampa, Texas and Katrina Harkins of Boise City; nine grandchildren; numerous sisters and brothers, including: Elsie Aguilar Ortiz and husband Timo of Dallas, Texas, Yolanda and husband, Andrew Escobar of Guymon, Liz Aguilar of Guymon, Albert Aguilar of Dallas, Texas, Joy Coronado Rascon, Joseph Coronado and Sammy Coronado all of Monte Vista, Colorado; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of Johnnie's life will be held Saturday, November 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Victory Center, 2032 US Hwy 64, Guymon with Rev. Dr. Dallas McGlasson, pastor of Connection Church officiating.
