Joe Rodriguez, 56, former area resident passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Trenton, Nebraska.

The son of Jose and Adela (Casarez) Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Jr. was born March 26, 1960 in Littlefield, Texas. The family moved to Guymon in the 1970's, where Joe attended the Guymon school system. He was a resident of Guymon and Hooker.

Mr. Rodriguez worked in the oilfield industry as a driller for many years. He was a free spirit that enjoyed working on cars, collecting antiques and spending time with his grandsons.

He is survived by his two daughters: Heather Williams of Harrah, Oklahoma and Sarah Rodriguez of Oklahoma City; and his six grandsons: Preston, Tyson, Caden, Devyn, Jaylyn and Ryan; along with many other family and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon, February 13th at 3:00 p.m. at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon with Rev. Jack Peck officiating. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
