Joseph Alfred "Joe" Ketcherside, 89, longtime Guymon resident passed away, Saturday night, November 11, 2017 at the Heritage Community Manor.

The son of George and Ada Lee (Allen) Ketcherside, he was born August 10, 1928 in Mangum, Oklahoma.

In his younger years he worked at a saw mill in Kiowa, Oklahoma. He was an operator in the oil and gas industry, retiring with Northwest Service. Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing and visiting family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Mary Jo Hintergardt; one daughter-in-law, Becky Ketcherside; one sister, Ula Mae Furr; one brother, Floyd Ketcherside and two grandsons, Joseph "JoJo" Allen Ketcherside and John C. Shirley.

Joe is survived by three sons: J.B. Ketcherside and wife, Darlene of Guymon, Ronnie Ketcherside of McAlester, Oklahoma and Jimmy Ketcherside of Guymon. Survivors also include twelve grandchildren: Bryan Ketcherside and wife, Brenna of Guymon, Jason Ketcherside and wife, Wendi of McLean, Texas, Ron Ketcherside and Tammy Ketcherside of Kiowa, Oklahoma, Jimbo Ketcherside and Monica Ketcherside of Sublette, Kansas, Rhonda Keith of Goodwell, Jennifer Price of Newkirk, Oklahoma, Jeremy Hintergardt of Guymon, Tracy Hintergardt of Clinton, Oklahoma, Melissa Bales of Guymon and Jimmy Shirley and wife, Janet of Dallas, Texas; along with numerous great and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, November 17th at 2:00 p.m. at the Guymon Church of the Nazarene with Jim Jamieson officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
