Reverend James "Jim" Edward Wiggin, age 81, of Guymon, Oklahoma, left the earthly home that he shared with the love of his life, his wife Helen, and went to be with his heavenly Father during the early morning hours of Friday, September 16, 2016.

Jim was born at home on the north fork of the Cherry river outside of Richwood, West Virginia, on December 1, 1934. He would often joke with his grandkids about spending 3 years in the 1st grade, but he did eventually graduate from Borger High School in 1954. He attended Frank Phillips College and worked as a Draftsman and Estimating Engineer for the Southwestern Public Service electric company for over 38 years; however, his real calling was found in studying and sharing the Word of God. As an ordained minister with the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, he served as pastor of the Guymon Pentecostal Holiness Church for several years before retiring in 1999. During his time in the ministry, Jim deeply loved and cared for all those that came through the doors of the church. That love and care was returned to him over and over again throughout the years. He never had a harsh word to say, and he was humble in all his ways. Jim was a man of strong character and was loved and respected by all that knew him.

On April 9, 1965, God joined Jim and Helen together in Holy Matrimony, and for the past 51 years, they have truly demonstrated the beauty of marriage as ordained by God. Raising 6 children in a Christian home and teaching them by example to love and serve the Lord is counted as one of their greatest achievements.

Jim loved his children and always held them close to his heart. He enjoyed coaching little league football back in the early years and being ever present at scouting events, ball games, and all the other events that involved his children and grandchildren.

Jim is preceded in death by his Mom, Mildred Wiggin, Dad, Walter Wiggin, 3 brothers, Johnny Wiggin, Tommy Wiggin, and Jack Wiggin, daughter, Teresa Aton and sons, Vance Wiggin and Mike Miller.

He is survived by his wife Helen Wiggin of the home, son, Jim Wiggin and wife Jean Ann of Eva, OK, son Jack Miller and wife Shellie of Grand Prairie, TX, daughter Sheila Thetford and husband Grady of Wichita Falls, TX, sister, Deloris Stockman and husband Jack of Alum Creek, WV, brother, Phillip Wiggin and wife Sharon of Gassaway, WV, sister, Mildred Hale and husband Gwendene of Pauls Valley, OK, 13 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 19th at Lifeway Christian Center, 621 N. Quinn, in Guymon, OK, with Jim Wiggin, Pastor Anthony Aton, and Rev. Jack Miller officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday at Westlawn Memorial Park in Borger, TX. Arrangements are under the care of the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
